Three Days, Three Events: Latino Culture Takes Over the Treasure Valley This Weekend

NAMPA, ID—The Treasure Valley’s Latino community has a packed weekend ahead, with three consecutive days of events spread across Nampa and Caldwell.

It starts Friday, July 25, when Calle hosts its first-ever street market at 1516 1st St. S in Nampa—live music, vendors, food, and family-friendly programming all on the same block. Saturday, the energy moves to Caldwell for Jefito’s Block Party at 6121 Cleveland Blvd, a Chicano culture celebration featuring lowriders running from 7 p.m. to midnight. Sunday closes the run at the Canyon County Fair’s Latino Fair Festival day at The Center in Caldwell, where performances include Mariachi Cantares de Mexico, Ballet Folklorico Yareth, and Danza Azteca.

According to @esto.es.idaho, the TikTok account that rounded up all three events, the weekend is proof that there’s plenty happening for Idaho’s Latino community in the valley. Canyon County Fair admission gets you into Sunday’s performances, which makes it one of the lower-barrier ways to catch live folk and traditional dance this summer.
