Hot Air Balloons Glow After Dark at Ann Morrison Park Tonight

Spirit of Boise’s Nite Glow brings free family fun, food, live music, and luminous hot air balloons to Ann Morrison Park after sunset on Friday, September 4.
BOISE, ID—Ann Morrison Park turns into something genuinely hard to describe after dark on Friday, September 4, when the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic hosts its Nite Glow: dozens of hot air balloons tethered to the grass, lit from within, pulsing light in sync with music while families spread blankets across the lawn.
The fun zone opens at 4:00 PM, with food vendors and live music starting at 5:00 PM. The glow itself begins after dark, and admission is free. For early risers, a Tribute Launch goes up at 7:10 AM and a morning flight follows at 7:20 AM—a quieter, sky-wide version of the same spectacle.
According to @guidethroughboise, balloon activities are weather-dependent, so checking official Spirit of Boise updates before heading out is worth the thirty seconds. Bring a blanket and a lawn chair; Ann Morrison Park’s open grass is the whole venue.
It is, as these things go, one of the better uses of a free Friday evening in Boise.
