Alyonka on State Street Is Testing New Dishes, and One Family Got an Early Taste
The beloved Boise Russian restaurant is quietly developing new menu items, and @idahofamilylife got a family dinner preview of three dishes not yet available to the public.
BOISE, ID—Alyonka Russian Cuisine, the West State Street staple with a devoted following in the Treasure Valley, is working on new additions to its menu, and a few of them recently made it to an actual dining table before their public debut.
According to @idahofamilylife on TikTok, a family dinner at Alyonka included sneak peeks at three unreleased items: a new soup, a new dinner entrée, and a new dessert. In the video, @idahofamilylife calls the dessert both tasty and beautiful, and makes the case that Alyonka’s rice is the best in the Treasure Valley—high praise in a city that takes its dining opinions seriously.
Alyonka is located at 2870 W. State Street and is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. If the new items have made it to the test-dinner stage, they may not be far from the regular menu. Worth a visit to check.
