A Moose Stood Outside Boise Little Theater and a Bystander Thought It Was Décor

A full-grown moose turned up in downtown Boise near Boise Little Theater, surprising at least one resident who initially mistook it for a sculpture.
BOISE, ID—A moose made an unannounced appearance in downtown Boise this week, ambling through the area directly across from Boise Little Theater and briefly passing as public art. Nikki Wesselman spotted the animal and captured it on video, later describing the moment: "It was crazy, I thought it was a statue till it moved!
" Moose sightings in the Treasure Valley tend to track back to animals wandering down from the foothills, though the stretch of downtown near the theater is an unusually urban stage for one. The animal appeared unharmed and, by all accounts, unbothered.
In fairness to Wesselman, Boise does have a lot of public art.
