Ultra-endurance runner @noahontherun arrived at the Idaho State Capitol on day 201 of a 5,500-mile coast-to-coast journey, escorted in by Boise police and greeted by family and veterans.

BOISE, ID—A runner who set out to cross the entire United States on foot arrived at the Idaho State Capitol this week, 4,337 miles and 201 days into a 5,500-mile journey. According to @noahontherun on Instagram, the day covered 27 miles—the final stretch of a long rural run along Interstate 84—and was met with safety escorts from the Idaho State Police, Boise Police Department, and Ada County Sheriff’s Office.

A small crowd of veterans, families, and relatives came out to welcome him in. With 59 days and roughly 1,163 miles still ahead, @noahontherun says he’s nearly back to full strength.

The run is tagged under #America250, timed to the nation’s semiquincentennial. Boise marked day 201.

Onward, indeed.
