Join us on September 22 at 6 p.m. at the Special Events Center at Boise State University for a free screening of Losing Sight of Shore, directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Sarah Moshman. Before we roll the 92-minute film, Sarah Moshman herself will be there to share commentary and set the stage for this remarkable story. The documentary follows four women known as the Coxless Crew as they attempt to row more than 8,000 miles across the Pacific Ocean from America to Australia. Over nine months at sea they face extreme physical and mental challenges, isolation, uncertainty and moments when continuing forward seems almost impossible. But Losing Sight of Shore is about much more than an extraordinary ocean crossing. It is a story about friendship, determination, resilience and the power of believing in something bigger than yourself. Expect breathtaking scenery, moments of tension and plenty of heart. You may laugh. You may get emotional. Most of all, you may leave feeling inspired to take on something in your own life that once seemed too difficult to tackle. Because everyone has a Pacific to cross.
